Valor Mortis on PC and Steam
Steam app 2828710 is the released Windows PC game, priced at US $39.99 on 14 October 2026. It lists full controller support, Steam Cloud and achievements; a Valve Deck badge and specific DRM arrangement remain unverified here.
The correct Steam app and download
Valor Mortis on Steam is app 2828710. The official appdetails record marks it released on 13 October 2026 and Windows supported. It marks macOS and Linux unsupported as native Steam platforms.
The standard game costs $39.99 in the US snapshot; Deluxe Edition Upgrade, app 5250300, costs $20.00 and requires the base game. Install the purchased game through the Steam Library rather than searching for a standalone installer.
Hardware and performance expectations
The minimum calls for Ryzen 5 3600 / Core i5-10600K, RX 5600 XT / GTX 1660 Ti, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10/11, DirectX 12 and 60 GB SSD space. Steam associates this tier with 1080p Low at 30 FPS with upscaling.
The recommended GPU tier is RX 6800 / RTX 3070 for a listed 1440p Medium, 60 FPS target, also with upscaling. The complete requirements page separates targets from measured benchmarks. It does not promise native-resolution performance or a universal fix for stutter.
Controllers, saves and Steam features
The checked API lists full controller support, DualShock and DualSense controller support, Steam Cloud, achievements, HDR availability and Family Sharing. Those categories confirm listed features; they do not specify every controller's haptics, all HDR displays or compatibility on every handheld.
The Xbox PC version is another Windows access route, with Xbox Play Anywhere and PC Game Pass options. Neither subscription membership nor an Xbox purchase supplies a Steam license. Steam Cloud is not evidence of cross-save with the Xbox or PS5 version.
Steam Deck and Proton: what is actually verified?
A current Valve Verified or Playable badge was not established in this check. The Windows-only native platform record does not decide whether the Windows game can run under Proton. Community claims about 40 FPS, battery life or wattage are not reproduced as measured results.
Before buying specifically for Deck, check the Steam store compatibility panel on your device and current build-specific reports. Compare their operating system, resolution, upscaler and power profile; a report on one setup is not a guarantee on another. Xbox's handheld label is a Microsoft listing and does not establish Valve certification.
DRM, demo and version caveats
A definitive third-party DRM notice, Denuvo status or offline activation policy was not verified in the fetched sources. Do not interpret an absent API field as proof that the game is DRM-free. Read the license and any notice displayed in Steam at purchase.
The former demo is a separate app, 4641840; its API returned no public app data. June demo patch numbers do not establish the current retail build. See demo history and carry-over evidence and launch facts.
