Can a friend join?

Confirmed. Steam lists Single-player without multiplayer categories. There is no supported campaign invitation or shared-progression mode to describe.

Community is not co-op

Confirmed. The launch post encourages build/lore discussion. That is not an online-play announcement.

Steam Cloud and Family Sharing are account features, not simultaneous co-op. Use the boss index while playing your own campaign.

Roadmap and offline limits

Confirmed. The announced roadmap names New Game+, not co-op.

Single-player alone does not establish DRM or offline licensing. Those need platform evidence; see PC information.
