Valor Mortis Bride Guide: Anna, Water Attacks and Summons
The Bride is identified in the linked evidence. These are attributed encounter notes and preparation advice, not a claim that this site played the fight.
Identity and source
Reported. Fextralife's Anna the Bride Drowned in Tears page places her in Cursed Hollow, Chapter 6: Punishment. From Eerie View, climb the ladder in the house behind the well, turn left and follow the path. Drop into the decorated flooded street and approach the arch to start the encounter.

Reported encounter notes
Reported. Fextralife describes water repositioning, ordinary blade slashes, an unblockable leap and summoned civilians. PowerPyx's retail guide agrees on the water-emergence attack and villager waves. Keep the arena in view when she disappears; her return is the cue to defend.
How to beat the Bride
Reported. Use Fextralife's attack descriptions and PowerPyx's fight sequence together:
- When Anna rises from the water with the red unblockable leap, dodge it and attack during the recovery.
- Defend her ordinary single slash and flurry with a supported block or parry. Finish the defensive sequence before taking your opening.
- When she sinks again, reacquire her position instead of swinging at the empty water.
- When villagers emerge, clear the nearby group promptly, then return to Anna. Watch for another wave when she submerges later.
Reported. PowerPyx reports that remaining villagers disappear when Anna is defeated. Use that as a finish opportunity only when she is already close to defeat; it is not a reason to ignore a full wave.
What opens after the fight?
Reported. PowerPyx Chapter 6 starts the Till Death side quest at the altar wreath after Anna. Later, a Red Ribbon behind the Village Church can be brought back to that wreath. This is an attributed quest route, not proof of Anna's motives or a particular wedding outcome.
Preparation
Inference. After she submerges, stop a long attack commitment and locate her return. Clear enemies behind you before lining up another duel; losing track of a villager can make a correctly defended boss attack look unsafe.
Check combat commitment and weapon defenses before choosing your kit.
Achievement and limits
Reported. The retail trophy guide associates this encounter with My Dying Bride. Steam does not publicly expose all hidden boss conditions.
No exact reward, attack duration, elemental multiplier or phase-health threshold is independently verified here.
